Hi! I'm Sonia!

Updated: Aug 27, 2019

A couple of years ago I moved to Gloucestershire. I left my full time London life behind me and decided to venture into the country with my other half :)

London was always fun, exciting, fast paced and every corner you discovered something new, however I always felt in my heart that it wasn't where I belonged. Having grown up in Kent, I wasn't more than a half hour train journey from the city center and easier accessible to anything and everything. I had everything I needed, yet I wasn't satisfied. I wasn't satisfied with the commutes, the pushing and shoving, the congestion, the air which polluted my skin/hair and particularly how I'd managed to get roped in to spending a fortune on drinks, food (mainly brunches), fashion, just everything! I was that typical London-has-to-have-all girl.

Having made the move to Gloucestershire I still feel I have lots around me, Cheltenham, the Cotswolds, Birmingham, Bristol, Bath and an easy line into London (albeit long). However during these last 2 years of my life, I'm happier, I'm starting to really understand what I want in life, I know whats important to me and I focus my time on those things, I am way more savvy with my spending and my hair/skin is in the best condition it's ever been. I take longer strolls, I eat healthier foods, I drink less (don't get me wrong, I love a G&T or glass of fizz).

I still make trips to London frequently, I have many friends and family there and I LOVE seeing them and doing new and fun stuff there, but at the end of the day I know where home is <3.

This blog with be dedicated to my weekly happenings and I hope to inspire you all to take giant leaps, long strolls, experience different cultures, foods and make healthy lifestyle choices.

Lots of love,

Sonia xxxx
