Brimpsfield, Gloucestershire walk
Updated: Feb 17, 2020
Such a beautiful and empowering walk to channel some positive energy into our lives and a good start to kick start the many walks we hope to complete this year.
The AA 50 walks in Gloucestershire rates this as an easy 4.5 mile walk and it is; such a delight. We parked nearby at the Village Hall, only a short drive close to Birdlip. Took just over 2 hours as stated and it was muddy in places as it was late Jan, so wellies or walking boots were definitely required! Mostly field and woodlands, passing a very small quantity of farm animals but much wild wildlife to make up for that. A couple of churches, villages and little bridges and a gorgeous water feature.
The only thing which was off-putting during this walk was an area where quite a few patches of shotgun cartridges which I assume were just left from a recent shoot, which was a shame to see. I assume the landowner will be clearing this up soon.
